My name is Elle Claasz, and I am running for the treasurer position. With the help of my committee, I have a couple of aims for this year, and they include:
- Making social events more regular
We want to ensure that everyone feels welcome within the Labour society. Having regular events will allow everyone to get to know each other and any other people or societies we may invite. This will be especially helpful when we campaign with the rest of Labour Derby. It’s always nice to see a friendly face in the crowd!
Providing financial reports to the committee will ensure that everyone is aware of our funds and how they are spent. This will allow us to ensure that they are spent in the right place and that we get optimal use from the funds we are given. Having a good grasp on finances is essential, and I want to ensure a budget is created and spent correctly.
