Elections Personal Statement
1. Strengthen Student Representation, academic support and Feedback
• Establish clear and anonymous feedback tools and systems (e.g., digital suggestion boxes, regular student forums).
• Ensure student feedback leads to visible action by closing the gap between students, course reps, and university staff.
• Promote student-led decision-making in union activities and university matters.

2. Fairer Access to Professional Development and Support
• Campaign for increased travel exchange bursaries and financial aid for students on placements and fieldwork for all students.
• Advocate for the increased funding and easier application to reduce stress for students.
• Enhance employability workshops focusing on career readiness, CV writing, and professional skills with collaboration with external partners.

3. Build an Inclusive and Connected Learning Community
• Organise regular cross-campus events (e.g., peer mentoring, study-together groups, academic networking socials, peer mentoring schemes).
• Foster collaboration between different student societies and departments across all campuses.
• Create initiatives that promote inclusivity and wellbeing across all Derby campuses.
