Feel like you should have a say? Vote Matthew.

Hi everybody - my name is Matthew, and I would like to nominate myself as PTO  for the School of Business. I am a second year Business Management student, studying for the Human Resource Manager side of the discipline and based on the Kedleston Road campus. So how would I describe myself, I would say that I love communicating with others and I highly enjoy meeting new people - I'm a people's person.

Voting for me is a great opportunity for YOU to get your voice heard, a direct input for YOUR thoughts and ideas. I am here to listen to you and I assure you that I am excited to take the responsibility and make a positive change. One of my aims is to increase overall transparency between students and the university leadership. This will ensure effective communication between both parties, and allow you - the students, to raise any issues and successes, contributing towards the growth of the university as a whole.

I have a great passion for people and enjoy helping fellow students. I’m a Student Rep for Business Management (HRM), a PAL leader and an Ambassador for disabilities and I can see how impactful the role of representing students can be - being able to listen to the opinions of my fellow students and forwarding YOUR concerns to different bodies. My mission is to represent my fellow students’ views - whether or not I agree with views expressed. This is not about me but about all the students in the School of Business, who I not only want to represent but moreover support.

I assure you that I will try my best to help you in any way I can and would be very grateful if you decide to vote for me as PTO  for the School of Business. You won't regret it as I will:

  • Listen to you
  • Represent you, my fellow students’ views - whether or not I agree with views expressed
  • Increase overall transparency between students and the university leadership

Many thanks, Matthew.
