Hi! I am Sukhjeen and studying psychology. I am from an Indian background and live with multiple disabilities. I am currently part of the committee for the disability society and also a volunteer for the ethnic minorities advisory board at the charity NRAS.
These experiences and opportunities have given me an intersectional perspective on equality and inclusion. With these skills, I will be able to complete the duties required of an inclusive societies councillor with the highest quality.
Manifesto-
In this role, I aim to:
- Raise awareness for the various societies within the Union of Students so that they are represented well in university life
- Connect the societies whilst promoting inclusivity. I also aim to work with other Councillors to encourage collaborations between the different societies
- Create positive change throughout the societies by taking any feedback to council meetings.
