I’m going to preface this with I’m proud of you all. this last year you proved yourselves to be as amazing, if not more so, than I’d hoped.
I was the president of Anime and Manga in my third year, in which we saw an increase in average session turnout and suggestions. In my fourth year I was voted in to be your interest councillor. I’d like to continue to support and represent you during my Masters, if you’ll have me.
As council I would like to:
Assist in cross overs with other societies – done through comparing notes from check-ins and whatever else I can come up with in my off time.
(Anime and Manga wanted to do a Games night, Esports do regular Game nights,. Pool and Snooker want to do regular film nights, pair up with Film Appreciation, Warhammer have old models that aren’t being used? Maybe host a contest with Art society and give contestants a model to paint within a theme)
As for an example of stuff I have come up with in my off time: The Imagineers could host a DnD podcast with phantom and bring in different people from the other disciplines to play along with them for a session or two. Or Pool and Snooker could start posting "how to do X shot or trickshot" videos this might bridge the gap a little between the players with less experience and might engage
