Hi! My name is Joseph and I'm standing for NUS Delegate 2022!
For the last year I have been one of the Student trustees, working on the board of directors in the Union of Students. This has given me the chance to see how the NUS rules & regs impact our Union at a local level.
Manifesto!
- Vote for an NUS that represents everyone, no matter the colour of your skin or the way you define!
- Demand for a more sustainable future in the way the NUS conducts itself!
- Fight for a more democratic NUS
Why Me?
I’ve been involved with academic representation since my first week at University in 2018, starting off as a programme representative I have gone through the entirety of the academic representation process. I have been elected twice before, once in the 2019 elections for Business School Student Officer & in the 2021 elections for my current role as Education Chair.
In the academic year previously (20-21) I undertook a year placement with a company called AP Racing. This was a fantastic experience & one I hope many other students push themselves to achieve.
Me outside?
Outside of my “work life”, I’m an avid gamer both on the Tabletop & on the screen. I can be often found with a paintbrush and some miniatures or building something interesting in Minecraft! Talk to me about Pokémon, Fallout or Warhammer!
I’m from Derbyshire, I have grown up in this county & love the countryside! Love a good walk through the countryside!
