Anna Howell

My name is Anna-Louise Howell, first-year student studying policing and investigations, I am standing for the Law and Social Sciences officer, I am passionate about helping people, I demonstrated this during my two previous roles one as President of the Student Union at my old college and my second role as a representative for my county with Pembrokeshire People First National Council, it was my job to make sure that people with learning difficulties got their voices heard on a national scale which I got to do on more than one occasion.

I am enthusiastic in everything that I do, I am a hardworking, dedicated person that will move heaven and earth to make sure that all student voices are heard and if a change needs to be done it will be.

I believe that I am the person for this job and not long ago I had the privilege to go to the National conference while I have in a residential college, where I had the chance to stand on stage to address 900+ people to get a motion passed to make the wording of NUS easier to understand this motion was passed with no one objecting or standing against it.

I feel that Law and social sciences are always changing with new laws coming in and some old ones taken away. If i'm elected I will make sure that

  •  I will make sure that you get your voices heard not only within Law and social sciences but on a wider cale throughout the university, so that when you leave you can say 'we did that'
  • making sure that there is always someone on hand to help if you are stuck on work or just need someone to talk to.
  • Create easily accessible information points. It shouldn’t be a struggle to get the help we are entitled to. The university offers great support, but not many of us are aware of it. I’d like to change that.

I really hope I can achieve this and so much more, but it takes your votes! and your voices to make the change we so desperately need.
