Manifesto
I am running for the role of ‘Team Captain’ because I think I would be the best person for this committee role, as I have previous experience running competitive pool teams. I have been playing pool for 10 years; within that time I have won all major International and National team trophies, and even captained two of those titles myself. I will be able to use my skills that I have used in the past of captaining and playing within high standard teams to bring the best out of the competitive side of the committee. I am highly motivated and passionate about pool and snooker. I would like to make the competitive side of the society into one of the best university teams in the country and as a society, we will try and get Derby’s pool and snooker society their second consecutive competitive tournament win at ‘BUCS’. I am also able to coach both new and experienced players to try and help all standards of players in the society to improve at pool and snooker.
Manifesto points:
1. Fair selection for all society members on teams.
2. Help to achieve success at tournaments and bring back silverware for the society.
3. Coaching sessions for everyone from new to experienced players.
