I believe I would be a great fit for Forwards Captain as I am very dedicated and will always push each player to try their best and help them improve their individual skills as best I can. I consider myself to be a very caring and approachable team player and as Forwards Captain would aim to provide my help and support to anyone whether their struggles be rugby related or not.

My main goals as Forwards Captain will be:

* To support players on and off the pitch in order to make sure everyone is happy and confident in their position.

* To work with the Backs Captain to keep a positive mindset within training and specifically during tough matches.

* To ensure we are working as a team at all times in order to look after one another.

* To make sure we have a solid scrum in which everyone is comfortable with the position they’re playing as well as improving line outs.

As Forwards Captain I would like for everyone to feel comfortable approaching me with any worries they may have so I can listen and act on them, no matter how small they may seem.

Throughout my time playing rugby I aim to always come to training and matches with a positive mindset and as Forwards Captain I will do my best to ensure all players stay positive and I aim to be a role model to any players who may lack some confidence when playing in matches.

I love being a part of Women’s Rugby at Derby and believe that by focusing on these points, next year we will have the best chance at securing points and gaining wins, whilst playing games that we’re proud of along the way.
