About me:

I’m Frankie Dollard, as many of you know I am the current Event and Kit Secretary for the dance team and a second year Event Management student. I love ballet and have been dancing since I was three years old and being on the team and committee this year has been the most amazing experience.

I am confident that I would be a good Competition Coordinator because:

  • I have experience of being on committee; being the event and kit secretary this year has taught me a lot about the team, how it works, and it has given me so much opportunity to develop skills. This also means I have been involved in the creation of this new role, enabling me to understand what is needed from the position and I know what is involved in the process of applying for competitions already.
  • I am very organised; being an event management student, it is a huge part of my course to keep organised and be prepared, which I think would be good skills to have for this role.
  • I am reliable; this role will require someone who can be relied on to work alone and as part of the team, which is something I am very capable of, I am also always on hand to answer any questions that may arise.
  • I have good communication skills; I am very comfortable with speaking to new people and very good at actively answering emails and messages.
  • I have good time keeping; planning and organising is a huge part of my course, and this ensures that I am very good at sticking to deadlines and enables me to have enough time to amend things if ever needed.
  • I am very detail orientated; whether it be filling out the forms or booking transport, I am always re checking to ensure everything can go as smooth as possible.
