About me:

I have been at Derby university for coming up to 3 years now, I am studying Architectural Technology and currently on placement at an architecture and planning firm in Derby; come September I will be in my final year of study at derby. When I first joined, the club was still a society and Elliot (president at the time) was in the process of rejuvenating the society to enable it to become the thriving club it is today. While being a member of pool and snooker I have joined in with the many socials and been a part of the team that has gone to BUCs.

What I can bring to the society as treasurer:

Having experienced what pool and snooker has to offer over the past few years I felt I could be of value working in the committee. Being a long serving member, I have a great understanding of the way in which the society is structured and how it functions on a regular basis as well as the knowledge of other events such as socials or fund raisers.

Also, since I am currently working in the industry of architecture, while on placement, I have had to manage my time and, more importantly as a treasurer, the budgets for a large variety of projects to make sure that the practice does not go over budget. I consequently, have a great understanding of looking at funds and getting the best out of a given budget. The skills and experience I have learnt from placement and that I have picked up from my previous studies of business at A level mean I would be well suited to the demands of the treasurer role for Pool and Snooker.
