Manifesto: social secretary
About me:
My name is Mya, I am currently in my first year and studying Performance analysis and coaching science. I’ve been climbing for around 5 years and for 3 out of those 5 years I have been climbing competitively. You can usually find me climbing at the climbing unit or drunk at mosh.
Why I would be good for the role?
I have a passion for the sport as well as a good understanding and experience in the sport. I have a lot of ideas for the clubs’ social events and overall feel as though I have a lot to offer to the club.
Aims
A.Organise more social events
I.My first aim as social secretary would be to create/organise more social events. The idea is to have more regular socials as a club with themes, similar to the other sports teams, to help create more opportunities for everyone to socialise outside of the climbing wall.
Ii.Drinking isn’t for everyone, so I’d also aim to organise more social events that don’t revolve around drinking to ensure everyone has the chance to take part and socialise in events.
2.social media platforms
- My second aim is to maintain the quality and consistency of the clubs social media platforms. I would make sure that information about the club and events can be provided for current members and potential new members. The would aim also be to show what the club is like and highlight key events, whilst also informing current members and encouraging new people to join.
