Student Volunteering Week

Student Volunteering Week is a national event celebrating the positive impact of volunteering in the community. We are holding an event with a range of activities to get involved with as part of Spring Into Community Action.

Monday 20th

A conference event will be taking place at Keddleston Road in OL2 with guest speaker, British adventurer and Scouting Ambassador, James Ketchell.


Tuesday 21st

Stalls in the Atrium will be promoting current volunteering projects running with information on how to get involved.


Wednesday 22nd

Steps for the Future will be around in the Atrium.


Head down to Rooted, the growing space run by volunteers at the university of Derby. Join the walking bus, setting off from info point at 1.30pm.


Thursday 23rd

RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) will be running a taster session for people interested in how to volunteer with them or just interested in the types of things they do.

Friday 24th

Our Age Exchange team alongside the University of Derby Netball team will be running a bingo event for local community members. This will take place from 1.30pm-4pm
