Fancy a free day out in Liverpool?
The Union of Students and University are offering a free trip to Liverpool for students. This is a great opportunity for you to explore the city, and get to know some of your fellow students at the same time. We’ve organised some great optional activities for you to participate in while you’re there, or you can explore the city independently.
Here’s all the information you need to know:
When?: 20 October, 2018. Pick up is from 67 Bridge Street, Derby DE1 3LD at 8am, and the bus will leave Liverpool to return to Derby at 4pm (to arrive in Derby approx. 6-6.30pm). Please be at bridge street no later than 7:45 for a prompt departure.
Where: Liverpool City Centre
What are the organised activities: There’s two optional activities; you can do both, one, or neither! In the morning we've organised a trip to the International Slavery Museum as part of their Black History Month programme of activities. This is in response to student requests to find out more about black history in the UK. In the afternoon we’ll be running a free walking tour to see the main attractions in Liverpool. When you book onto the trip you can indicate any activities you’d like to do.
What’s included?: The coach to and from Liverpool, entry to the International Slavery Museum (optional), a free tour around some of the highlights in Liverpool (optional)
Who can go: There are 40 places available to any Derby Uni students, if you study at one of our many non derby city sites let us know once you've booked your ticket and we'll get transport sorted.
