Iron Gate, with Derby Cathedral

Ever wondered what it's like when a homeless person has to sleep rough? Now's your chance to experience if yourself, all for the greater good!

The Union of Students is holding their very own sleep-out in front of Derby Cathedral on the 10th of May, to raise money and awareness for Padley, a local charity that works to rehabilitate the homeless. We're also working with Derby Cathedral to make the event as safe, and smooth as possible!

Between the times of 7pm and 7am, your Vice President (Community)  Charlie and many more will be rolling out their sleeping bags, playing games and raising money. There'll be a pre-meet a week before the event where everyone will be getting briefed on the event, with guidance, advice and instructions. There's going to be games and other activities on thorughout the first half of the night to keep the night fun, so all volunteers can enjoy themselves while experiencing an evening in the city centre.
