Nursing

December is always a hectic month.

With placements, exams and assignments along with Christmas shopping, Christmas decorating, Christmas Parties along with living normal life and working Decemeber can become very overwhelming very quickly.

Our Society President felt the overwhelming effects very early on and needed to take some time away to look after herself.  This meant that some of the events we wanted to plan didn't happen.

However, our Socials Secretary Natalie became a Christmas Angel and planned some events for us.

It started with a Christmas meet up, with festive games and food along with our good friends from Midwifery Rocks Soc.

Then we had a Christmas Jumper day to raise money in collaboration with Midwifery Rocks which raised a massive £490.50 for Tommy's Charity (headover to Midwifery Rocks Instagram page to find out more about this worthy cause).

And finally the society had a blast at the union's annual Santa Run in Markeaton Park.

Hopefully our society will be back in the New Year with a full committee and lots more exciting activities including socials at popworld, movie night, yoga sessions, fitness competitions, bsl sessions, cake decorating, board gaming nights, charity fundraising events, and most importantly our trip to the RCN Congress.

Big Love from the Nursing Society xx

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and the very best of wishes for the new year.
