Academic Representation

Your views, through us

The Union of Students are responsible for the academic representation structure at the University. Students just like you elect over 500 Programme and College Reps each year to represent you. Their job is to work closely with the Union’s Vice-President (Education) to identify any student issues or needs and represent the student voice at the highest meetings at the University.

Representation makes the student voice extremely powerful and is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop new skills and deliver real, lasting changes across the University. If you’re interested in becoming a Programme Rep, please either let your lecturer know during your first week or come and see us. We’ll provide you with all the training you’ll need and will be there with you every step of the way.

Rep Success

A Rep success is something that your Programme Representative, or Your College Part Time Officer has done to represent your academic interests; a change that has improved your time at Uni, or made things better on your course somehow.

Let us know via the link below about any successes you've experienced so we can shout about the great work our Reps are doing.
