Academic Representation

Your views, through us

The Union of Students are responsible for the academic representation structure at the University. Students just like you elect over 800 Student Reps and Student Officers each year to represent you. Their job is to work closely with the Union’s Vice-President (Education) to identify any student issues or needs and represent the student voice at the highest meetings at the University.

Representation makes the student voice extremely powerful and is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop new skills and deliver real, lasting changes across the University. If you’re interested in becoming a Programme Rep, please either let your lecturer know during your first week or come and see us. We’ll provide you with all the training you’ll need and will be there with you every step of the way.
