The President's job it is to oversee the entire Union who works to enact real change that positively affects student lives. This role involves regular meetings with important University staff, leading, supporting and coordinating the 3 vice-presidents and ensuring you work as a team.

The Vice-President (Education) oversees the Union's student representative structures and ensures that the students’ voice and opinions are not only heard, but are acted on. You'll find out what students want and help them to achieve it.

Vice President (Welfare)

The Vice-President (Welfare) supports student welfare by raising awareness of support services whilst working with the Uni on issues affecting student well-being. You'll represent the needs and issues of all students & help represent and run events for students who identify as being part of a specific demographic i.e. LGBTQ.

The Vice-President (Activities) supports Union sports, societies and student led service members throughout the academic year as well as promoting events and encouraging students to get involved. You'll work alongside the University to increase membership, engagement and ensure students have the best possible experience.

For this role you would attend the NUS Conference - your transport and accommodation and some food will be paid for. The conference is 3 days, where you will vote on national policy which will affect students in Further & Higher Education across the whole of the UK. You will also vote for your national officers.
